Create&Wonder was founded in 2022 by Lucy, as a creative outlet for her passion and imagination. Lucy’s vision was to design miniatures felt creations that would allow children to play with an inquiry based mindset. Creativity in children begins to form from the age of 3, where their ability to use symbols and representational thoughts first develops (Scholastic 2021,).

Create&Wonder was formed to allow children to have endless options for inquisitive and educational play within their early years of learning. As well as directing Create&Wonder, Lucy is a full time Oral Health Therapist. A major part of this job is educating children on how to maintain good oral hygiene, and the basic science behind this, Lucy knows well the importance of educating and inquisitive learning from a young age and how this promotes good habits later on in life. With a keen passion for education in young children, Lucy found her passion for inquisitive learning stemmed much further than just being in a dental practice. Thus was the beginning of Create&Wonder

Create&Wonder’s designs are brought to life by “Nepal Felt House”, who are one of the largest leading wholesalers in Kathmandu Nepal. Led by local Nepalese women, Nepal Felt House products are made from 100% azo-free sheep wool, imported from New Zealand. Create&Wonder chose to team up with this supplier as they promote the employment of women and donate part of their profits to children’s education in Nepal. They do this by paying for training opportunities for women and providing financial support to build libraries, repair school buildings and provide textbooks and stationary.
